The course has been designed and delivered in HCA hospice, Singapore for people with life limiting illness, cancer and in palliative care.
It is now available to be delivered in all age care facilities, hospitals, and all education centers.
Individual therapist can learn through personalized tuition and or home study.
The course is suitable for
- Carers and professionals working in aged care,
- Qualified healthcare professional and layperson wanting skills to assist people in palliative care
- Friends and family wanting to help seriously ill people with life threatening illnessses.
- Friends family and qualified healthcare professional wanting to assist people with cancer.
This course will provide qualified healthcare professional family and friend with some complimentary therapies to empower them to help loved ones.
Course outline
The course has 5 modules and all modules include a brief overview of Complimentary Therapies for Palliative Care and people with Cancer and life limiting illnesses.This course can be delivered in all requesting facilities or if have 4 or more students can be delivered at CSSM
- Aromatherapy in Palliative care –
- Massage : a seated clothed massage of shoulders, neck, face and scalp b. Full body oil massage for Palliative care patients and people with cancer.
- Foot massage and reflexology for Palliative care
- Hand massage and reflexology for Palliative care
- Advanced practices: Treating Symptoms and conditions combining all the above techniques for Palliative care.available
Module 1-5 can be taught individually. You can choose to do one module or all the modules. You can start with what interests you most and proceed from there. Each modality has one day practical and homestudy theory.
Overview of complimentary therapies in hospices and hospitals is included in all studies.
A bonus offer of meditation practices for palliative care and cancer patients is included with all modalities get it now by buying hand or foot reflexology and putting palliative care bonus on form when purchasing.
All modalities are approved for insurance and CPE points
Hand reflexology and foot reflexology are currently available as homestudy and the three other modalites will be available as homestudy by July 2020
